5-Day Photographic Workshop
Date: March 1 - 6, 2027
Introduction
In the far north west lies some of the most distinctive mountains of Scotland. Stac Pollaidh, Suilven, Canisp and Cul Mor dominate the landscape, yet there is an abundance of wide open space. This is real highland countryside with some dramatic coastal scenery to boot.

5-Day Photographic Mentoring Workshop
Scottish Highlands
Introduction
This workshop is a 50 / 50 split between field work (making images in the surrounding Wester Ross highland landscape) and Digital Darkroom Editing / image interpretation techniques carried out in a studio environment.
During our time together we will be based in the north west of the Scottish highlands.
Please note: This workshop is not about learning Photoshop-CS. Instead, its aim is to teach you how to interpret your work with the skills you have.

Image Interpretation Techniques
Interpreting your work, requires you to improve your visual awareness while out in the field and also while behind your computer. I will teach you to read your images and work with tonal relationships behind the computer and also while out in the field.

5-Day Photographic Workshop
Introduction
The small island of Eigg contains perhaps one of the most dramatic and photogenic beaches in Scotland: the Bay of Laig & the Singing Sands. With abundant geological features on each beach and the isle of Rum as a perfect backdrop, this location is a dream for any landscape photographer.
We spend all our time on two beaches, which are in walking distance from our accommodation. One is sandy while the other is rocky. To get the most out of this workshop it is best if you are comfortable working on rocky beaches. This trip is suitable for anyone who has regular fitnessand can walk with their camera bag and tripod for up to 30 minutes.

5-Day Photographic Mentoring Workshop
Introduction
Harris is a beautifully compact island with wondrous expansive beaches and a rugged eastern side.
This trip is specifically great for simplifying your compositions as most of the beaches have a lot of space where only light and tone are the predominant features.
We are staying down on the beaches, in two different houses with our own private caterer. The houses are beautiful. Please note however that bathroom facilities are shared. Being near the beaches is ideal. The nearest hotel is 30 to 40 minutes away.
