I love printed fine-art photographic books. I own a large collection of them and love nothing better than to lose myself in one or two for a few hours. Photography is about the final print, and not about jpegs on a website.
So it’s always been dear to me, to be able to print my own work, whether as prints, or in book form.
I’ve published four books to date. Four more than I thought I ever would publish. Each one of them has been a project made up of time out there, capturing the images. Of collating the work, of thinking up each book-concept, of writing the accompanying text. Each book has been enormously enjoyable for me to put together. They are often the icing on the cake when it comes to feeling I’ve completed a chapter of work in my photographic career.
