Getting to the Workshop
Skye is situated in the far north west of Scotland. Due to the nature of the remoteness of parts of the North West of Scotland, transportation links are sparse.
Pickup from Inverness Airport Available
I can pick you up at Inverness Airport on the day the trip commences. Please arrive at Inverness Airport no later than 2pm on the day the trip commences, as it is a 3 and a half hour drive to our destination on Skye.
Returning from the workshop
Please be aware we will leave the hotel no later than 10am and arrive in Inverness at approximately 2pm. Please arrange your connections to coincide with this arrival time
Driving from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness
Another alternative is to coincide your Skye workshop with a tour around the north west of Scotland. There is much to see and you could easily spend an additional week or two here. If this is an option, then I would recommend hiring a car and ariving at Inverness Airport. Driving times from Glasgow and Edinburgh are very long - somewhere between 5 and 7 hours. The landscape is mountainous, with lots of single track roads, so traveling takes a lot longer than you may anticipate.

Trip Details
This trip has been set up for a very small exclusive number of photographers (4). We will have sole use of the hotel for our duration, making for a very comfortable and concentrated stay.
Arrival & Introduction
6.00pm
We will meet at the Glen View hotel in the small village of Culnacnock (near Staffin) where I will introduce myself and cover what we will be doing over the week.
7:00 - 8:00pm
Dinner
8:00 - 9:00pm
I will present a talk on my approach to landscape photography.
Daily Schedule
6:30 - 7:30am
Breakfast
8:00 - 11:00am
On location for sunrise. The sun rises very late in December (around 8:45), but it is the hour before and after that can often yield some very surprising images.
11:00 - 4:00pm
With the winter sun being so low in the sky for the entire day, we will take advantage of this by exploring some of the surrounding landscapes of Skye.
11:00 - 4:00pm
On location for sunset.
