Trip Details
Arrival
We will meet in Mallaig, the gateway to our destination the Isle of Eigg and will board the Caledonian Macbrayne ferry.
Upon arrival at Eigg, we will be taken to our accomodation by mini bus. It is a short walk and many people prefer to do the walk, to enjoy their first views of the Island.
During our time together
Eigg is a small island but there is much to photograph and much to return to as well for the odd repeat visit. We will choose our locations depending upon the light, but you are free to spend time on your own if you wish or even stay in bed!
Each day will consist of the following loose format:
7:00am - 9:30am Sunrise Photography
This can easily be a good hour or three of concentrated photography time after which we will return to the Barn for a much earned breakfast.
9:30am - 10:30am Breakfast
10:30am - 1:00pm Rest Period
We each need some time to relax, freshen up and perhaps take stock of what we've been doing this week.
1:00pm - 2:00pm Lunch
2:00pm - 5:00pm Afternoon Critique
Each day we will pick a handful of images from the days shoot to discuss and I will cover aspects such as composition, cropping, lens choice, quality of light and perhaps even show you some of my own work for comparrison.
5:00pm - 6:00pm Dinner
7:00pm - 9:00pm Sunset Photography
Back out on location for the evening.
Departure
On our final morning on Eigg, we will be transported back to the pier to catch the ferry back to Mallaig on the mainland.
