Isle of Arran, Scottish Lowlands
5-Day Photographic Workshop

Known as 'Scotland in Minature', Arran is a surprising island, flat in the south, hilly and mountaineous in the north.

It is a subtle island with a lot to offer. The beaches contain a lot of strange geology. There are many standing stones and circles and there are some beautiful glens with lots of lovely waterfalls and burns. There are even great views of the not too far away islands of Pladda and Ailsa Craig.

During our time together
The days are long in August, and sunrise is extremely early at 6am. Because of this, we will focus our photography efforts on Sunset which is late at 9pm. So we will head out after breakfast at 9am in the morning and do some critique sessions during the middle of the day, so we can concentrate our photography to the golden hours of sunrise and sunset and twilight until 10pm.

8:00 - 9:00am
Self service breakfast.

10:00am - 12:00pm
Morning photography

12:00pm - 3:00pm
Critique session & digital workflow. We will select one or two shots from each member to discuss and I will show you how the image may be improved and the steps involved from RAW file to final print.

5:00 - 6:00pm
Dinner

6:00 - 10:00pm
On location for sunset and twilight.
