| Eradication of Village Life Pitões das Júnias is a small town in the northern region of Portugal. Many of it's inhabitants are elderly villagers who maintain traditions and a way of life that will die when they die. Those that we spoke to, had stories to tell. One old woman used to manage the local post office, but she cannot read or write herself. I felt that I was given a glimpse into a way of life that will soon be part of a bygone era. |
