| Patagonian Ice Cap Bruce Percy, Portfolio 10 | ||
| A landscape full of Light A six day adventure encompassing glacier trekking, crampon use and a harness to counteract against the crevasses in the area, lead me onto the third largest ice cap outside of Antarctica. The evenings were filled with the most spectacular light. Hues of many colours were present on the ice and it was such a magical experience to be there and witness it. In an area that is famous for unpredictable weather, I was fortunate to see some spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and the famous mountains Cerro Fitzroy and Cerro Torre, both from an uncommon vantage point : by trekking on the patagonian ice field. |
