Mother & Son

Perhaps this photograph is about dislocation, about a mother creating distance from her son. That’s certainly been suggested to me, but it was a spur of the moment photograph from me. Passing them on the roadside, I saw them leave the road and enter the field. I had a strong sense of anticipation that if I returned to the edge of the road where they had departed, I would capture this scene.
