The stone tree is one of the Bolivian Altiplano’s amazing natural wonders. The altitude is so high here that I was suffering from slight symptoms of AMS. While shooting this image I had to retreat back to the 4WD to warm my hands. It was with complete surprised that I’d found my hands seize up. It was so dry here that I wasn’t aware of just how cold it actually was.
