To mark the first exhibition of Bruce's photography, this book covers his work from 2009 to the present.
The book is laid out in order of tonal range starting with Bruce's serenely minimal Hokkaido images before moving on to the lower registers of tonality by visiting the black deserts of central Iceland. The book concludes with his full spectrum work from the Bolivian Altiplano.
Store - Fine Art Monographs
It's been a real privilege to have two of my all-time favourite photographers write introductions to the two hard-back photographic monographs I've released to date.
Michael Kenna's ethereal black & white imagery has provided me with so much inspiration in my own work, I couldn't have had anyone more fitting to write the intro for my first book.
The introduction to my second book was written by the Icelandic photographer Ragnar Axelsson, RAX has had a deep connection with the black beaches of the south of the country from his childhood to the present day. It seemed fitting to me that he should write the introduction to the landscape that is his own.
