Hi Bruce,

I remember the chaos at that spot. Funnily enough, I'd seen this photo on your site and so when we were there, I was looking forward to the quiet and serene sunrise at Angkor that I had the impression of from the photo.

As it turned out it very cloudy and very little light was actually penetrating, so it wasn't a great moment. We were in a similar location. But it got even worse, as the crowd walked right up the the front of the temple to take photos back towards our direction, so we had camera flashes through the long exposures!

So I think you did very well to come away with this photo. Perhaps the feeling it conveys is not the feeling you had when you were there, but it is a great photo.

while I was there there was no water :( however I saw the rainbow in the middle of the day, but kit lenses didn't capture it well.
By the way, I was in Ecuador recently and so we start to talk about photography with the owner of hostal and I mention your name and he says that he just saw (or saw before) on tv the story about you and how you started to explore amazon basin from Ecuador. Were you really there? 'Cause I didn't see photographs from Ecuador on your blog and you would probably shoot something there.
