Where?
I’m not saying where, as I’m curious to see if not knowing where this was taken, means you are more able to conjure up your own story?

India, on the Ganges…I think.

Yes,
Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It was quite easy really. :-)
I’ve been busy working my way through the films from my trip to Nepal and India this year. It’s a long road – with around 100 rolls of negatives to preview and then scan the best ones, it’s going to take me a while.
I had to post this image yesterday. That’s the excitement of seeing a new image for the first time, particularly when you’ve almost forgotten what you shot at the time.
Strangely, I think what I love about this image the best is the boat on the river. I didn’t plan it as I was too busy trying to capture the ceremony that was unfolding as I took an evening stroll along the river. I also like the slight pink hue of the sky and water. But as usual, it’s more a reminder to me of the trip, a moment in time where I can take my myself back to in an instant.
